Crime victims often need civil legal help to resolve problems caused by the crime they faced. The Justice Center’s Civil Legal Aid for Victims of Crime (CLAVC) advocates focus their practice on meeting these needs – which range from assisting domestic violence survivors in eviction proceedings to pursuing civil actions against the perpetrators of crimes that seek monetary damages to suing insurance companies that refuse to honor their policy obligations.
