The Northeast Justice Center’s Immigration Unit provides services to the most vulnerable members of the region’s immigrant community including survivors of domestic violence or sexual assault, survivors of gender-based violence, children and youth who have immigrated to the United States without their parents and individuals who are being held in Department of Homeland Security detention. The Immigration Unit partners with a number of community-based organizations to conduct outreach to the region’s immigrants, who are often difficult to reach because of various linguistic barriers.

The Northeast Justice Center is available to assist immigrants from Massachusetts who are detained by ICE.
To request assistance for a detained immigrant please contact 978-722-0874. Please note that this phone line is answered Tuesdays and Thursdays only between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm. If you call during a different time, please leave a detailed voice message with information related to the detained person and the services you need. We will reach back to you as soon as possible.

How to Check for your Immigration Court Hearing:
To check if you have a hearing scheduled, you can call the automated line and use your alien number to check the date of the hearing. The automated number is 1-800-898-7180 or you can check online here: Automated Case Information (justice.gov). You will have the option to choose Spanish.
The Boston Immigration Court’s phone number is 1-617-565-3080. You will have the option to choose Spanish by selection option 2. You will need to wait for the introductory message to finish, and then press “3” for the secretary. Have your Alien Number ready and ask if your hearing is going to happen. You may have to call several times before getting through. Some hearings are held virtually. When contacting the Boston Immigration court please check if you are to appear virtually through Webex or in person. The Court has implemented a Dedicated Docket. If your hearing notice says “Dedicated Docket”. Please call 617-464-8000 to learn about the immigration court process through the Family Group Legal Orientation Program. (FGLOP)
